Registered as an 80G Society, in 2009 in J&K State and in 2020 UT-Ladakh, HEALTH Inc is a membership-run NGO operating in Ladakh since 2006. We’ve had Ladakhi youth volunteers supporting village work since 1992.

We work in conjunction with partner non-profits in India, USA, Canada and the UK. And we work in full collaboration with government departments serving our members’ home villages.

No fancy office. No vehicle. No highly paid staff. Instead, we support our members who want to see marginalised areas and groups revitalise their land, bring hope to their children and help those most in need.

Our Project Principles

Our projects adhere to these three principles:

Beneficiaries are partners in our work: They design, implement and evaluate work according to their own needs, resources and goals.
We invest in young people because they are the future.
We believe that partnerships not only result in better outcomes but teach us to live together in a time of rapid change.

As a membership organisation, we keep our over-head to a minimum, spending less than 8% on administration. We use your donations for project work. Please contact us if you would like a copy of the annual accounts. And be patient if we don’t respond right away. We might be out in the villages we care for so much.
